We have indigenously developed a RoV to carry out desilting of sub sea or under water pipelines. Earlier, divers were sent into the pipes to check or clean the pipe. This was neither safe nor very productive as the divers can’t go into the pipe more than 100 or 200 m as it entails risk. In order to mitigate the risk, we developed hydrobot RoV which can be controlled remotely and sent upto more than 1 km into the pipe. The RoV has following equipment
Brushes, front and back which can be lowered or raised and rotated in either direction
High pressure Water Jets to make slurry
Submersible pumps, forward and back to suck up the slurry and throw it back and out of the pipeline
Sonar for navigation and monitoring in fully surcharged pipes
Cameras to monitor pipelines which are not fully surcharged or empty pipes
